Literature Text
Have you heard the story about the girl
who one evening went out for a walk
- and never returned?
Some say she ran away,
others say she killed herself.
They found her necklace down by the river,
the one with the silver bird charm.
I knew this girl
and I loved her.
She used to talk about the birds
and how they could fly away
- to wherever they wanted,
but somehow always returned to the same place
and sang in the same tree.
She smiled to me and said
that she was a different kind of bird.
I never understood her.
Now I do.

In Secret
Shhh. We're not supposed to be here,
don't you know?
We tricked the wheels
They spun too fast and we tumbled
through Time
Sticky stringy luminescent webs
Lighting up dimming down
Illuminating arbitrary winding paths
(you're not really in here, anyway)
Slow to a halt
And hang
Slack
Black
We're not supposed to be here
but is there anywhere else?

Hide and Seek
"One...Two..."
I tried to find a place to hide. I crawled under a table and looked around my area. Good thing I'm not claustrophobic.
"Ten! Here I come!"
Little socked feet run out from the back room. I see her look around the room and run into another. I cough as a hint. She flips around and yells, "FOUND YOU!"
Then I'm counting. I count to ten and run to find her. I can't find her.
Then I turn around and see her on her bed asleep. I put a blanket over her and put on my gear to go outside in the snow.
"What are you doing?" I hear her voice say behind me.
"Go back to sleep. I'm going outside."
"Okay..." then she wanders back to her room.

Matchstick
irreplaceable yet unnecessary
leave me in your retrospect
where you found me, unwanted & with a question mark over my head
or a Matchstick, maybe
I'm the fire you started &
couldn't put out
the one you doused &
the One you'll freeze without.

forgive me if my writing is a bit rusty.
Not knowing that those around us are unhappy or hurting is difficukt thing, and it can damage us alot when we find out.
